Short answers to the main concerns
Does the eSIM work right after landing?
You install the QR code at home before the trip. After landing you turn on mobile data for the eSIM and the phone connects to an available local network. Pack validity follows the plan terms.
Will I lose my Czech number?
Your primary SIM can keep receiving calls, SMS and bank codes. Whether the eSIM includes calls, SMS or a number is stated on the specific plan.
Is an eSIM worth it inside the EU?
Inside the EU, Roam Like at Home means your home plan often suffices. An eSIM helps when your fair-use data runs out, you want separate data, or a second phone. Outside the EU the gap versus roaming is usually much larger.
How do I know my phone supports eSIM?
Most phones from the last five years support eSIM. In the compatibility check, enter your model and you will see right away whether it works — or what to do if it does not.
What if I run out of data abroad?
If the plan supports top-up, you add data from your phone without a new QR code. Top-up availability is shown in the plan detail.
